Description
Understanding,
Connecting,
Amplifying and Enriching
The intention in the creation of this piece was resonance. What manifested from this intention is a visual representation of the Mahayana Buddhist metaphor of Indra’s Net. The metaphor itself is an attempt to explain how all things are connected, or the concept of "inter-being" or "Interpenetration." This is the idea that all things depend on everything else, that one thing can not exist without anything else.
Thich Nhat Hanh describes interbeing:
"If you are a poet, you will see clearly that there is a cloud floating in this sheet of paper. Without a cloud, there will be no rain; without rain, the trees cannot grow: and without trees, we cannot make paper. The cloud is essential for the paper to exist. If the cloud is not here, the sheet of paper cannot be here either. So we can say that the cloud and the paper inter-are."
May you resonate and connect with this art.
May you connect, resonate, and amplify the energy of love.
